Yamaha 225hp 4 stroke Normal Operating Temperature

Hello All: I'm looking at a boat that does not have a temp gauge. What is the best way to determine operating temperature during my inspection?

Also- What is the normal operating temperature of this engine when it is warmed up?

136 to 144 f full open at 158 f get a hand held thermometer
