2002 60hp yamaha

I have a 2002 60 hp yamaha.Intially starting the boat it run great but when I shut it off and try to restart nothing happens.Now if i tap on the side of the cdi module it will fire right up and drive till yesterday on the way home midrange rpm it started missing.the starting issuies have been going on since last month....any input would be greatly appreciated

It acts like the throttle isn't in netrual when it won't start......the only thing throwing me off is the misfiring that happened yesterday...

Might be the CDI causing problem, hard to say.

I agree ....was told when I had this motor rebuilt last year I would need a new throttle soon.....but would that cause the skipping at mid range?
