  • 1986 Yamaha 2T, 60 horse power and its propeller

    Hi all,

    This is my first post

I have an older Yamaha 2 stroke, of 60 horses, and I am looking on lowering my fuel consumption on my Marshall M80 rubber boat (its 4.8m in length).

One of the thougths to try was to change my propeller which is old, little bit out of shape (on the tips of 2 of the 3 propeller blades), however on the old one I cannot find the dimensions of the original prop, they are probably eaten away by time.

Do you know maybe what were the dimensions back then of the propellers put on Yam's?

Also, does anyone have a suggestion maybe which one to put? Where to find more information and such?

    Thanks!

    Vladan

What I found just now was that its probably been sold to me wrong...I found that this model 6h2 listed a 60F model from 1983

    Yamaha Model Guide

although on the start of the page they say that the "H" letter is from 1987

    on my motor I have:

    60FE
    6H2 S 000***

The prop size is usuallly on blades of prop or on on hub of prop on Yamaha props. If you can take it a dealer or prop shop they tell what pitch it is.
