Help 2004 150 hp 4 stroke Yamaha draining battery

I have to disconnect the battery to prevent the engine from draining itl

Everything seems to be working fine, but I can hear a noise under the cowling every time I make and break the connection at the battery.

My friend was listening at the engine and told me he thinks it is the computer coming on and off.

The computer(ECU) doesn't have any kind of motor in it that would run, might test the ignition switch to see if it's actually shutting off all circuit when in off position.
