As far as I know that is normal. My 89s have always done that. Annoying but as soon as you crank it goes away. I guess it just shows you the alarm/buzzer is working so if there is a problem with temp or oil it will go off. Or if a motor stalls.
I always wanted to bypass it somehow but still have the alarm/buzzer work if there was a problem.
