Hello,
I just picked up a F20PLH outboard. I launched the new boat and motor today, motor ran great!
Although my transom is cut at 20.25" the motors cavitation plate is nearly 2" below the bottom of the skiff. I'm going to raise it up an inch and see if the performance improves. If I were to raise it the full 2" the clamps would be pretty close to the top of the transom, so I think I'm going to bolt it on. For security sake, I think the permanent mount is better anyway.
Do you know what size bolt I should use? The manual doesn't say. Can you get these in a yamaha kit? I'm assuming they should be SS 316 or similar?
thanks,
steve
