225 VMax tilt trim, can i add oil to it?

I've a 225 V max, a few years old.. today the tilt trim wouldn't operate, though it made a funny noise. I utilized the release valve on the side of the motor to trim it down.. Once i let it down, the trim worked fine. I noticed a cap on the starboard side of of the tilt trim bracket (within the two motor brackets) Is this a place to add oil to the tilt trim unit? Do i need a special connector to add the oil thru this fitting? Thanks Very much for any help.. B

Tilt up up all the way and remove reservoir cap and fill until level full with power trim fluid.
