Lower unit removal 1999 250 OX66

I am taking the lower unit off for the first time myself. I have removed the 7 bolts holding the lower unit on, and the thing does not budge.
I get maybe a 1/4 in seperation at the front of the unit and no separation at the back. Is there anything else that needs to be released to make the unit drop??I have tried tapping and prying it without success. I have ordered a manual but it has not arrived yet, and I am anxious to get started.

I checked the parts diagram for a 1999 250 at boats.net online parts catalogue, and it shows eight bolts - the eighth bolt is under the trim tab. Remove the trim tab and it should be there.
