704 remote trim switch

Remote control model 704

Just yesterday the "up" stopped working (no noise, nothing). If I fidgeted with it, it would work periodically. The down works fine.
Up and down work at the engine with no issues.

Sound like a bad switch? Other?

I am wondering if the replacement of Yamaha Outboard Parts 2002 SX225TXRA REMOTE CONTROL ASSY 2 Diagram
(part 39)
would do the trick?

Never encountered this before, so I would like to explore all options.

Also if that is the issue, has anyone ever replaced it?

The switch is going bad. Thats how mine started, try tapping the switch with the handle of a screwdriver or spraying with WD40,these were two temporary fixes,if those don't work it's easy to replace the switch.
