I have just mounted a new Yamaha F250 on a 30" Armstrong transom bracket. I tightened the ny-lock nuts to 90 ft-lbs. Does that sound about right?

I would try to get in touch with the mfg. of the transom bracket to see what they recommend. If I had no other source, I would compare the size of the mounting bolts to my pickup truck wheel bolts which I torque to 95 ft-lbs. You should be pretty close.
