I've cleaned the whole oil injection system and want to test the oil injection pump. The seloc manual says that 3.1 -3.7 cc per 3 minutes, should be measured? Question:what position should the oil injection pump lever be in and what rpm should the engine be run at to teat oil output (on the 50 to 1 premix). Also do the hoses have to be put back in the same position Thank you.

fishndoc,
Man, I wish I had some experience in this area so I could help you out. I don't know why boats.net mechanic overlooked you. You might try posting again with a new post. They seem to answer only the ones that have had no response.
I scrolled down thru the posts and found one that might be relevent - go to page 3 and look at
"Oil Flow Test" post.
Also, I would suggest you get a Yamaha shop manual for you particular model - they are expensive, but if you are going to be doing your own maintenance, they pay for themselves many times over. Go to www.yamahapubs.com to order one and they will deliver to your door.
Good luck,
Ken K
