Throttle and shift cables seem long

I just installed two Uflex aftermarket control cable on a pair of F50 2009 4-stroke engines. The cables are adjusted to the shortes length but are st 1/2" too long. The shift doesnt work either. It is always in gear. Is there a kit for the aftermarket cables?

They should have been same as Yamaha cables if they had the 10-32 threaded ends on both ends os cables.
