Motor dies at quick acceleration?

I have a 2003 SX150 B that wants to stall when I dump it. Had this problem two years ago and they cleaned the pickup filter in the injection. I just put a new one in and fired it up but when I did it seems to drift in engine speed. I cannot take it out because of the weather here on the east coast. Is this normal? Or, do I have to wait for better weather to sea trial my work?

provided the engine is in a good state of repair, plugs etc i would be checking for water in the fuel , also check your in line fuel filter for either blockage/contamination or water , how old is your fuel? after that

check throttle linkages
check lift pumps
check 02 sensor

any additional info you can provide will greatly help, when you say it drifts in engine speed do you mean, throughout the rev range?, at max throttle etc?

alternatively take it to your closest dealer they should be able to diagnose the issue fairly quickly
