50 hp 4 stroke

I have a 50 hp 4 stoke which has a lower unit overheating problem. The local dealer had the boat for months and had it apart 5 or 6 times and now they are at a loss also. The motor has good water flow but the lower unit over heats the engine stays at normal oerating temp.

The lower unit( gear housing) is cooled by the water that it is submerged in, if it's overheating it would probably be a bearing problem. If it's the midsection (drive shaft housing)then it does run a little hot, if it's getting really hot it may be a muffler problem.
