25hp power tilt/trim

I have a 2001 Yamaha F25ESRZ 25hp four stroke on a 11'5" catmaran (Craig Cat). I would very much like power trim and tilt. Unfortunately, the specifics of my boat design prevents the addition of any aftermarket units (I have tried the CMC pt35 and the Min Kota unit) without a major rebuild of the boat. Unfortunately, Yamaha chooses not to market a short shaft 25hp with factory trim/tilt. This is most distressing because the dry weight of the engine is about 140lbs, and I am not getting any younger.

Does anyone know if a Yamaha power trim/tilt unit designed for their long shaft 25's can be retrofitted to their short shaft engines?

It is a completely different bracket, you would have to change out the whole bracket. It may be cheaper to rebuild the transom in boat

I was afraid of that. It's a shame Yamaha doesn't offer the tilt/trim on the short shaft.
