Kill switch wiring

I have a 30 hp (30mlhs 6j8 l 406426) with a 703 remote control.
The kill switch is not working, I don't think it was ever connected.
Just behind the control the wiring has two groups of three wires that are plugged off with Yamaha plugs.
How do I make my kill switch operational?
Is it something to do with the capped off wires?

No the stop switch wiring is inside the control box black wire and white wire.

everything inside the control seems to be connected, yet the motor runs without the kill switch lanyard in place.
The two groups of capped off wires leaving the control box are as follows;

black, white, two yellows together

Green , yellow, black
