  • Yamaha top bearing seizure

    Good Day All

My Boat Turned Turtle A Few Months Ago. We Manage To Salvage The Boat And Got Both Motros Running Withing 45 Minutes Of Salvage (they Are V6 150 Carb Two Strokes).

Ended Running Them For About Six Hours Over Three Days With Extra Oil In The Fuel.

Alas, A Month Later The Motros Were Siezed. On Stripping Them I Found The Top Bearing Siezed Solid Onto The Crank Journal.

I Have Not Been Able To Remove The Bearing From The Journal Yet , But What Is My Course Of Action If The Crank Is Pitted.do I Bin The Crank, Or Is There Another Solution. It Seems A Waist To Bin The Crank For One Journal. The Rest Of The Crank And Bearings Are Fine.

    Your Advice Guidance Appreciated

    Rgds

Unless you have a crank shop in your area that rebuilt it then might check on a remanufactured crank.
