Maybe someone can help me out. I have a 1993 200hp yamaha, the steering is very rigid. I know the problem is the upper bearing in the bracket. I have sprayed it with pb blaster and went as far as heating the bracket with no success. I would like to add a grease fitting, but i am not sure where a safe spot is. Has anyone ever done this with good results? I have checked online schematics but i cant find a sectional detail of the inner parts.

There should be a grease fitting about mid way down on swivel bracket, this diagram is not very good but it's number 25 Yamaha Outboard Parts 1993 200TXRR BRACKET 1 Diagram
