  • Tachometer wiring

I have a 2007 90 HP 4 stroke and have a multi function gauge that I would like to add to my dash.
I don't have a wiring diagram, but the wires from the plug on the harness are pink, grey, green w/ white stripe, and green w/red stripe.
The loose wires are blue, green, yellow, and black.
I only need rpm and hourmeter.

Can someone tell me what wires I should use, and or if I need a different harness?

    Thanks

If you don't want the warning lights in tach operating then you would just need 6Y5-83553-N0-00 gauge power harness and connect it matching color wires on key switch and to tach, set tach for 12 ploe alternator.
If you want warning lights then need to make sure you have newer style tach, if it has 1 off white colored square 4 prong connector on it then use 6Y5-83653-20-00 trim/oil harness connects to engine and to tach, set tach for 2 wire trim sender and 4 stroke engine.

Thanks very much for your help on this.

I think I would like to have the warning lights etc. Will probably pick up a newer style tach.

      Thanks again.

You can get the 6YR-W0035-E2-00 Tach kit that will include all wiring needed and it has the new tach that includes hour meter.
