Oil Pump Control Link Adjustment? '97 250 OX66

The Yamaha Service Manual does not have any "service points" for adjusting the Oil Pump Control Link that I can find??

The adjustment is mentioned several times in this forum.

How exactly do you check for specs/adjustment?

at neutral, on pump, linkage should stop/hit the circular stop pin. if it has been serviced since break-in, it should have been adjusted back as from factory they are set rich.

I ordered the motor - it was delivered in a crate and installed it myself. I am the only person that has touched the motor so... I wanted to make sure that the oil injection was correct.. I have read that the factory sets it kinda rich and wanted to know how to "lean" it back if necessary.
