My 2003 Yamaha 250 has always ran great but last weekend it started missing at the top end. It ran find for most of the day just when running 3/4 to full it would start missing. I have never run fuel stablizer in it except durning the winter. This is a bass boat and I only run it 15 - 20 times a year. How many fuel filters are this motor and how hard are they to replace? Will it hurt the motor if I take it out this weekend and only run it 1/2?

If this is a model that has carbs then probably needs carbs removed and cleaned. -
This is a 250 HDPI fuel injected.Comment

You do need to get it resolved before you continue to run it. Replace spark plugs and fuel filters(filter on side of engine and the high pressure filter on top of VST, remove and clean VST and clean filter on elect fuel pump.Comment
