  • 2 stroke synthetic oil ??

    hello everyone,
anybody ever heard of a synthetic 2 stroke oil ??
i would be using it in a 2004 ox66 200 with oil injection.
    thanks

Sure, I use Amsoil HP synthetic. But there's also Pennsoil, Royal Purple, Castrol, and some others that are harder to find. You can find Pennsoil synthetic at any WalMart. Amsoil you'll have to find a dealer or order online.

      furballs,
Two of my fishing buddies run Pennzoil synthetic blend in their two-stroke outboards - one is a 115 Yamaha premix, and the other a 150 Evinrude oil injected. Both are happy with the performance - a lot less smoke and a good price
      ($6.99 gal at Academy).
I am going to try it myself after I run out of Quicksilver.
      Good luck,

          furballs,
As long as your owners manual specifies TC-W3 and not Yamalube only, I don't see how Yamaha could refuse warrranty work. But I would check with the dealer on this.
          Good luck,

Do what I did, buy a 55 gallon drum of Yamalube and it will cost about $12 to $13 bucks a gallon.
