  • Hydroulic Steering Problem

My 1999 Yamaha SW II needs some TLC on the steering. Its super tight at the wheel and makes docking very challenging. I hate to give money to a mechanic if its something I can do on my own. Has anyone bleed their own system before and may have a link or directions on how to do it?

u can actually bleed the system by urself thru the helm. with the bottle of steering fluid upside down turn the steering wheel alll the way left and right until all air is removed from the system

air usually makes it EASIER to turn, slipping, may have unlubed points on motor or steering system could have moisture in it. unhook cyl from motor to see which component has the issue
