Trim Tilt will not go down

05 300 hpdi....had a sudden stop now the trim goes up or down at the motor but only up at the switch on the controls. I checked the switch its fine all the way back to the engine plug. The two wires must be connected some where in the engine harness....any ideas or does anyone have a wiring diagram....

They connect to the same wires as engine trim switch, try reversing the blue and green wires at trim switch on controls, if trims down but up then switch is bad.

Checked the trim tab switch now what do you think

I had pulled the engine harness plug apart at the motor check continuity between the red pin and operated the switch seemed to function fine both green and blue. The switch on the motor wires go around the outside of the cowl and join somewhere in the back to the other harness. I checked the relays and they only have one wire each so it just seems there has to be a splice or somthing in the engine somewhere...but the switch seems fine

the guys on the boat took it to NC and hit a sand bar on the way back
