When running over 3000 rpm's, I have to hold down the throttle to keep it from backing off. I understand that there is a screw that can be ajusted. Where is it & how do I get to it?

If it's a Yamaha motor/control, then there's a small slot-head screw on the front of the control box that you can turn clock-wise to tighten throttle friction. A dime works perfect on mine to turn the screw. You want it just tight enough to hold the throttle at any given setting but not too tight.
