  • adjust timing on F225

Anyone know how to adjust ignition timing on a 2004 F225? Best I can tell you cant, and there is no adjustment procedure (that I can find) in the shop manual.

No timing is not adjustable on that engine or any fuel injected engine, it's controled by the ECM.

Thanks - that confirms my suspicions.

Interesting that the shop manual states in several places to check ignition timing and in the section on how to do that the manual states:

"Check that the “1TDC” mark a on the flywheel magnet is aligned with the magnet base pointer b."

but provides no guidance on what to do if timing is off. I am asking this question because I checked timing on both my engines and it is off by about 2 degrees on one of them. Both ECU's are brand new. I suppose I could always adjust the pointer
