Can not enter "custom mode" on Command Link round meters

Hello:

I have a three year old F200TXR Yamaha outboard with a round tachometer and speed/fuel meters. I can not get either meter into the "custom mode". I have carefully read the Operation and Installation manuals and still am not having any luck.

I would appreciate some direction from a knowledgeable person on this matter.

Should be able to turn key on, push and hold MODE button for 4 seconds and it will enter custom mode.

Thanks for the reply but as I said, I read the manual and have tried what you suggested with the key on and pressing the mode button for four seconds and neither the tachometer or fuel/speedometer will enter the custom mode.

Do you have another suggestion please?

Are you sure it's a Command Link gauge? They look a lot alike, here is pics

Yes they are Command Link guages.

Let your dealer check it, if gauge is bad they may be able to warranty it.
