  • 2002 90hp two stroke runs rough at low speed

when at idle are slow speeds like *****ing speeds she runs rough and will sputter and stall. Could this mean the low speed jets are clogged? If so can i replace them without syncing the carbs?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Have a similiar issue with this motor, model year 2001. Just purchased the boat last weekend. Previous owner stated(and provided reciepts) that the carbs were just cleaned and whatnot back in April. Had the boat out for the first time this weekend. Runs great but as soon as I go to idle, it will sputter and quit after 10-15 secs. Will start right back up and otherwise runs great. If the carbs had been cleaned what else should I look at? Could the idle possibly be set too low? What RPM's should this motor normally idle at?

Figured I'd just post this here rather than create a whole new thread.

The carbs may still have plugged jets or passages and need to be cleaned again.
