  • F90 overrevving?

Just finished the 10 hour break in period for my new F90 fourstroke, did as the manual directed to do, slow at first, then vary my speeds up to full throttle. According to my rpm's at full throttle I am getting 6200 rpm's and I believe the manual says 6000 is max, prop installed at the dealer is a 3 blade aluminum 131/4 x 17 .....should I get a different prop and keep this as a backup, I seldom go WOT or should I not be worried, what prop do you suggest, I'm not concered with hole shots or going fast all the time, just don't want to ruin anything, thanks

You should change to a 19 pitch prop, it will lower rpm's about 400 rpm's.

Did you change it to 19 pitch yet? I have the same metrics as you... If you did... did you notice any difference? Did it increase speed? etc...
