How long for parts?

2004 250HPDI approved by the Yamaha rep for a powerhead replacement has been sitting at the dealership for three weeks, "waiting for the powerhead to arrive" according to the service guy. What is the source for new Yamaha powerheads and is this not an unusual amount of time to get one shipped? Once it arrives, what would be a reasonable time frame for the fix to get done? Thanks in advance for the info.

If Yamaha has the powerhead in stock it could be shipped from Yamaha within a day(powerheads are truck frieght, to heavy for UPS) but if it has to come from Japan it may a week or 2 to get it.
