have an 86 yamaha on an 86 procraft. boat is 19.6 long. only gettin up to around 40 mph on it. only running around 4800 rpms.need to know what i should be turning on rpms and what i could get out of my top end speed. was hoping to be in high 60s or better but dont know if its possiable. what pitch on prop should i be running. the motor is at its lowest setting and going to raise it this week.any info would be great. thanks mike the motor is a 150 pro v

don't know which prop, but a lower pitch will bring the RPMS up. If it's what came on the boat originally you may need to make sure you don't have a fuel problem, filter, pump, dirty carb, and check compression on all cylinders
