how do i determen the age of my 2 yamaha's

i f got 2 40hp electric start yamahas with serial no 6E9L409959 and 6E9L409960. i need the age as to get a manual to service / maintain these motors as i havent got experiance with marine motors.
your help wil be highly apriciated. thanks

The model number identifies the year, what is model number?

where on the engine can i find the model number as the serial no is the only no's i can find. the covers has been painted over so there is only the name. it is 2 silinder elect start two stroke motors

We don't have a listing for 40FE model, if this is a European model motor then We don't have any information on it.

no help there havent got any records of these motors. say somebody imported them
