  • Never Seize

Some guys say don't use it in a marine application. How come? What does everyone use? I just cleaned my 02 sensor and the housing bolts were put in with lock-tite. I was mighty neverous those first few turns they were so tight. I plan on using never seize for re-assembly.

Never seize isnt the best for marine applications where water exposure might cause corrosion.

The metals used in the regular never seize products will help in the corrosion.

Some people like to use the triple guarde grease from Yamaha.
This sort of all depends on where you are working on a motor.

If its something that I will be removing from time to time. Grease is great.
If its anything thats on the block that heats up, loctite marine anti-seize.

If its something that I am reassembling and hopefully wont be seeing for a good long time I would use either Loctites marine anti-seize or sometimes it may call for a thread sealer. (pipe thread sealer with teflon)
