There are many posts on changing the trim rams but very little on the tilt ram seal changeout.
First pic is of the piston that is in the ram cylinder. This comes off so that you can replace the lip seal. This is what I did not know and the point of the post
Second pic is thecylinder cap that I could not get loose. I ended up removing with a punch and hammer. Very very scary for me as I knew that if I wasnt sucessful it was big money on a new cylinder.
Replaced all seals and teflon rings from boats.net for about $25
Works great and no more leaking hydraulic fluid.
