proper fuel hose size

Hi all - first time poster here.

I've got a 2002 50 HP 2 stroke on my Carolina Skiff & was wondering what the optimal size fuel hose would be for this setup. I'll be replacing the old fuel hoses this weekend.

5/16 or 3/8 fuel hose will work, most boats with built in tanks come with 3/8 fuel line.
