I went to change a battery on my boat. I put the key in the ignition to tilt engine down. Why, I don't know as I am fairly certain engine can be tilted without power on. I swapped batteries without turning power off to engine. When I went to tilt the engine back up I got nothing, engine does not start either. With key in ignition I hear a buzzing sound coming from the injector relay. I just read the owners manual and realized I did a bonehead thing by not removing key. Any thoughts or opinions. It is simply the injector relay that needs replacing?

Check the fuse box under the hood on the starboard side of the motor. There's a couple of fuses in there and one of them is to the starter relay, might be blown. I doubt you did anything to the relays themselves.

I checked all fuses and they look okay. There are two relays in the fuse panel and the buzzing is coming specifically from the injector relay.Comment

Just went to the boat and realized I failed to connect one of the ground wires. All okay now.Comment
